School Director, developed the integrative form of Massage Therapy taught
at MTIC. This
form is the result of years of clinical experience using
massage therapy for the treatment of chronic pain, soft
tissue injuries and stress dysfunctions. |
Robin Lewis, CMT,
is an instructor in the Year One program and is the Self-Care Module Instructor. Robin graduated with
honors from MTIC’s 1051-hour CMT program in 1996, has numerous hours of Massage Therapy training including Swedish
massage, Deep Tissue therapy, Myofacial therapy, Neuromuscular therapy, Reflexotherapy, Cranial Mobilization, and
Cranial Sacral Therapy. Robin also graduated from MTIC’s Year II program in 1997 and is a member of the International
Massage Association and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. -"My bodywork philosophy is to let the body I am

Thadd Dudrey, CMT,
is an MTIC Year
I & Year II graduate and has over 4000 hours of training in massage and manual therapy. He is a Year I bodywork instructor
and also teaches the Physical Assessment Module. In addition to his Year I and Year II studies, Thadd’s educational experience
includes training in the subjects of visceral manipulation, Kinesis Myofascial Integration, muscle activation,
Myosequence, Spinal Reflex Analysis, Cranial Mobilization, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Thadd is a Certified Rolfer and has a private practice in Denver
that specializes in Myofascial Therapy.

Mickey Mangold, CMT, MA, NMT, MTIC
Director of BodyMind Integration.
Mickey has over 18 years of practical
experience as a Certified Massage Therapist. Mickey first began her journey in
allied and integrative health care applications at Colorado State University in
1983. While enrolled at Colorado State University, Mickey’s course of study
included teacher training in Physical Education and Pilates instruction. After
receiving her Bachelor Degree in 1989, Mickey enrolled at Massage Therapy
Institute of Colorado where she completed both Year I and Year II programs and has
since been employed as an instructor, clinic supervisor, and teacher trainer. In 2000
Mickey furthered her education at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado where she
obtained a Masters Degree in Somatic Psychology. Mickey is currently selfemployed
as a Psychotherapist and leases private office space within the MTIC
campus facility. -" My role at MTIC includes teaching, mentoring and supervising
students and staff in several key areas of our profession. These areas include
conscious business practices and ethics, mindfulness and bodywork, and emotions
and the body or the BodyMind connection. I am passionate about helping other
professionals raise their awareness and skills beyond those of the average therapist.
My teaching style is interactive and I have high standards for myself and my students. It is my intention to lovingly support and
nurture each individual who is interested in their personal growth as a therapist, the
growth of our profession and the growth of the health of this planet. As we each heal
ourselves we have infinitely more opportunity to offer our innate gifts to
others".

Sunniye Buesing, CMT, CST, BA, MA, is a
2001 graduate of the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado's 1060 hour
certification program. Since graduating, she has taken additional training courses in
Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Raindrop Therapy,
Hot Stone Therapy, Pre-Natal Massage, Japanese Facial Massage and Ayurveda. She
also has done additional training in Structural Integration and Chinese Meridian
Studies as part of the Year II program at MTIC. In 2008 Sunniye also completed
studies to become a licensed Esthetician. Sunniye holds a BA from Colorado State
University and an MA from the Claremont Graduate University. Although she has
worked in both chiropractic and spa environments, she currently enjoys working
in her private practice in Denver, CO. "When I teach, I like to engage every
student. Rather than merely lecturing, I take a hand-on approach to everything that I do.
I come from a teaching background, so teaching at MTIC lets me combine my love for teaching with my love for massage"

Mike Turner CMT, is an MTIC Lead
Bodywork Instructor and Student Clinic Supervisor. Prior to completing MTIC’s
Year I and Year II program, Mike received Tai Chi teacher training between 1992 and
1996. -" My Teaching Philosophy is 21 education, education, education. One of the
things I try to do with clients and friends is to teach them about their bodies; I’m
constantly trying to get people interested in their bodies".

Monica Bottagaro, CMT, BS, Business
Administration,
is an MTIC Teaching Assistant, Bodywork Lab Supervisor, Asian
Module Instructor (Zoku Shin Do) and graduated with honors from MTIC’s Year I
and Year II program. In addition, Monica has studied Energy Work, Raindrop
Therapy, Japanese Facial Massage, and has participated in internship programs at the
Paradise Healing Arts School and the School for Sixth Sensory. A member of the
Associated Bodyworkers and Massage Professionals organization, Monica owns
and operates Soma Shift, LLC. -"My intention for each class is to create an
environment of compassion and safety that allows for an engaging and loving learning
experience. It is incredibly heartwarming to watch a student change over the course of a
year as they assimilate the breadth of information that is taught in Year I.
Everyone has their own individual ‘Ah-Ha!’ moment. I am honored to a part of their
expanded awareness of the interconnectedness between their physical,
emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. The beautiful part of MTIC is the symbiotic
learning experience everyone shares – students, TAs, teachers – we all learn
something new every day".

Stephanie Hannon, CMT,
graduated from MTIC’s Year I program in 2006 and recently
completed the Year II course in the spring of 2009. -"I chose a career in massage for a few
reasons. One being I want to help people heal. Two is that the body is so amazing and it tells us so much. Three is that I love working with my
hands. I currently have 4 jobs that allow me to work in the field of massage." Stephanie works as
a lead instructor, lead TA, and clinic supervisor. "MTIC has given so much to me, more than
I expected. I felt that I should give back in some way. Plus I didn't want to leave the comfort and support that it provides".
